This Friday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 PM in the VFW Hall, Russell Wood, Commander of the Upton Post of the American Legion, will present the History of the American Legion in Upton.
For many years the American Legion occupied the building on N. Main St. behind the Common where the Little Common Sense store is now located. Many social events were held there as well as Legion meetings. There was a bowling alley and pool hall in the basement as well. Many are not aware that the Legion is still active in Upton. Come and hear Russ present the history of the Legion and learn some more about your town.
