Missing juvenile found

uptondaily1pngLast night at approximately 9:30 p.m. the Upton Police Department initiated a search for a juvenile who according to Upton Police Chief Bradley had “fled his home on foot and gone into the wooded area near Brooks Street”.

Police Chief Bradley said a K-9 Unit from the Massachusetts State Police was requested and the Massachusetts State Police provided a helicopter from the Air Wing Unit to assist in the search.

Residents in the area heard the helicopter circling late into the evening. The Upton Police Department had alerted residents through twitter and facebook that there was an ongoing search.

The juvenile was found safe. Police Chief Bradley said, “At approximately 12:20AM the juvenile was located in a wooded area between Brooks Street and Milford Street.  The juvenile was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center for evaluation.”
