On Sunday November 16, over 200 runners lined up at the starting line for the sold out durtyfeets Trail Series Half Marathon or 10.5k trail run race, in Upton State Forest. For the challenging Half Marathon, 15 year old Ben Maron from Sudbury, MA was the overall winner with a time of 1:26:32. Kelsey Allen from Sterling, MA was the top overall female with a time of 1:34:44. In the 10.5k race, Steve Levondowsky from Hopkinton, MA and Meagan Crossett from South Boston were the overall winners, with times of 43:46 and 54:00, respectively.
After the race, all the runners and event volunteers enjoyed their choice of hot soup and chili from Red Rock Grill & Bar.
Local runners from Upton that won their Age Divisions were Robert Groth (10.5k, Masters), Andrea Matelellian (10.5k, Junior), Tina Terfruchte (10.5k, Masters).
