On Thursday January 1, 2015, Whitinsville will play host the 3rd annual 1st Day 5k road run, starting at 11am. Runners will enjoy a fast and flat, out and back style course on roads closed to traffic. The Grey Barn in Whitinsville will be the main venue for bib pickup on New Years Eve and on race day morning as well as the post-race party. First 275 entries receive a custom knit hat, and each bib receives one complimentary beverage at the bar after the race. Race field is capped at 300 runners, and pre-registration is offered online through 12/30 at www.mramultisport.com/1stday5k. Note; no day-of registration will be available at all and event will likely sell out prior to Christmas).
