Once “the best kept secret” of the Southern New England blues circuit, now the blues band of choice, The Diving Ducks Blues Band plays a style of high energy blues with rock overtones. The Ducks set list includes tunes from Kim Wilson and The Fabulous Thunderbirds, J Geils Band, Eric Clapton and the blues greats of the past and present.
The Diving Ducks will rock out, boogie, and spin you a spoonful.
“Reverend” Tom plays blues harp and sings lead. He toured with the Hellhounds Blues Band and with the Muddy Wolfe Blues band. Founding members, bass man Kevin Doyle and Paul on lead guitar, lay the cool groundwork for a hot sound. Paul and Kevin have been playing together since the 90’s, with the Ducks evolving circa 1999. The outstanding drum work of Fred Larson III rounds out the band out nicely. Fred also plays with So Many Rhodes, a Tribute to the Grateful Dead, and has previously worked with the Maynard Silva Band, and The Senders in the ’80s.
Their first Blues jam was covered by the llegendary British Blues band, Savoy Brown. It’s always rave reviews when you’re talking about the Diving Ducks.
This weekend the Diving Ducks will be will jamming in Upton at the Rose Garden.
Tom’s mighty fancy harp work along with this great band will have Blues lovers coming back for more! Blues lovers won’t want to miss this show!
