Boston Globe reports Upton man facing federal indictment for alleged bank robbery

uptondaily1pngThe Boston Globe reported today that a 21-year-old Upton man has been indicted and faces charges for allegedly robbing four banks.

The Globe wrote, “The federal indictment was handed up against Brandon Coldwell, 21, in US District Court in Boston. He is currently in custody, and an arraignment date has not been set. His public defender, Jane Peachy, declined to comment.”

According to the Globe, Coldwell made off with over $50,000 after allegedly hitting banks in Dorchester, Brookline, Milton, and Framingham in September of 2014.

The Globe reports “Coldwell’s mother told Framingham police that she recognized her son in surveillance photos that were posted on a media website, telling a detective, “there is no doubt in my mind that is him,” the affidavit said.”
