Upton Daily talks psi and deflategate

deflated ballThis deflategate controversy is a joke.

Do you really think Tom Brady needs to cheat to win. The Patriots kicked some big time butt and people are just being babies.

If you’re not a Pats fan you may believe Belichick cheated; that the Pats can’t win without cheating. Well if you think that than you’re just a poor sport.

What really happened…it’s all about the calibration and when the balls were filled and tested.

Ed Brown, an old HS classmate, is a calibration expert. Before retiring Ed founded Quality System Labs Calibration (QSL) , a multidisciplinary and accredited calibration laboratory working with mechanical, electronic, mass flow, torque, force and thermodynamic calibrations. He said it’s not unheard of for the psi to change on temperature.

Ed said, “A loss of 2psi if the temperature in the ball room was 80 would not be out of norm. Air contracts when cooled. The Pats did nothing wrong except stomp the Colts.”

To back up his statement he decided to do a little experiment at QSL. He filled a basketball (it was all he had on hand) to 13psi in a 78ºF room. He placed the ball in an environmental chamber for one hour with a chamber temperature of 40ºF and then measured the ball pressure. Ed said after one hour in the lower temperature chamber the ball read 11.2 psi (about 2psi lower).  He then allowed the ball to return to the room of 78ºF and measured the psi and found the pressure was 12.9psi.

What does this scientific experiment show.. that the entire deflategate is nothing but propaganda!

Pats you need to hire yourself a calibration expert, give them your balls, have them do some tests, and kick this controversy out of the stadium once and for all.
