As part of the school’s mission to provide students direct contact with the top professionals of their chosen career pathway, the Blackstone Valley Tech Dental Assisting program recently hosted guest-lecturer Dr. Wael Youseff, D.M.D.
Dr. Youseff is a renowned oral and maxillofacial surgeon in the Milford and Northborough offices of MetroWest Oral Surgical Associates. His recent lecture focused on the types of medical emergencies Valley Tech Dental Assistants students will encounter when they begin working in dental offices throughout Central Massachusetts and beyond.
Dr. Youseff is no stranger to Valley Tech; the lecture was his second such visit to the Dental Assisting program and Valley Tech students assisted him last fall during a Community Free Care Day hosted by Harelick Dental Associates of Holliston, MA. The experiences have left Dr. Youseff with a positive impression of the BVT Dental Assisting students and staff.
“This program gets you ready for the practical world,” Dr. Youseff said. “I know that if I was looking to hire someone, I’d pick the person with hands-on experience since high school.”
