Gov. Baker declares all next week Valentine’s week

valentineDuring a press conference regarding the approaching snow storm Gov. Charlie Baker declared next week Valentine’s week hoping to bring some vitality back to communities and local businesses.

Baker pointed out the past few weeks of historic snow have been difficult on communities, commuters, parents, drivers, teachers, some kids, and businesses. “Folks have not been able to make it in to restaurants and retail shops and on to our main streets. That’s why I am happy to announce today that I am officially proclaiming all next week as valentine’s week,” said Baker.

Baker encourages everyone, once the storm passes, to get out and visit main street businesses, restaurants, and small businesses. “If you can safely, get out there and buy your loved one something nice, not just tomorrow but a few more times next week. I think frankly after the kind of month we’ve had we’ve all earned it.” he said.
