At a special town meeting held on February 11, 2014 residents approved the purchase of 2 Grove Street for the purpose of additional parking for the Town Hall by a majority.
During this meeting, 58 voters were in attendance meeting the necessary quorum of 40 voters.
Some residents questioned the purchase of the property as the building sits in the recently Historical Section of town. The building was built in 1833 and was one of the first commercial buildings in town.
