More Upton and Mendon Students Make the Dean’s List

deanslistLauren Neilan, of Mendon, MA, a member of the class of 2015, has been named to Assumption College’s Dean’s List, one of the school’s highest academic honors. To earn a spot on the Dean’s List, Assumption students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester.

“We are very proud of our Dean’s List students,” said Assumption College President Francesco Cesareo, Ph.D. “Making the List is the culmination of a semester of serious dedication to one’s studies and a commitment to academic excellence. The following local residents were among 1,082 students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) named to the university’s Dean’s List for academic excellence for the fall 2014 semester. The criteria for the WPI Dean’s List differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean’s List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.

Brian St Germain of Upton is a junior majoring in electrical and computer engineering.

Gaetana D’Alesio-Spina of Mendon is a senior majoring in biomedical engineering.

Fredric Silberberg of Mendon is a senior majoring in computer science.

Myles Hebert of Upton, MA made the Dean’s List for fall semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.

The following local residents made the Dean’s List for fall 2014-2015 semester at Rochester Institute of Technology:

Nicole Mazzola of Upton is a second-year student in the biomedical engineering program in RIT’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering.

Tucker Gustavesen of Upton is a third-year student in the chemical engineering program in RIT’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering.

Emily Murray from Upton, MA has been named to the University of Delaware’s Dean’s List for the 2014 fall semester. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean’s List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Spencer O. Hess of Mendon

Christopher Desilets of Upton. Chris is the President of the Class of 2017 and played a large role in bringing a car rental program to the campus.

Trinity Scanlon of Upton received a 4.0. She works at QU as an Academic Tutor and also plays on their DI Lacrosse team.
