The deadline to take out and return nomination papers for the UPton Annual Town Election is fast approaching.
Last day to take out papers is this Friday, March 13th.
Nomination papers with 30 registered voter signatures need to be returned by Monday, March 16th by 5:00 pm to qualify for the ballot.
As of Monday, March 9th, no one has taken out nominations papers for the following positions:
Assessor (3 Years)
MURSD School Committee (1 Year to fill vacancy)
Recreation Commission (3 Years)
Trustees for the Public Library (2 for 3 Years)
Finance Committee (2 Years to fill vacancy)
