At their meeting on January 6th the Board of Selectmen proclaimed Upton as a Purple Heart Community as a way to honor military personnel wounded or killed in combat.
On Tuesday April 7th at 6 pm Leo Agnew, Commander of the Massachusetts division of the Military Order of the Purple Heart will formally designate Upton as a Purple Heart Community. The Board would be honored to have Veterans in attendance to express thanks and gratitude on behalf of the Town.
The meeting will be held in the Little Town Hall meeting room 203 at Town Hall.
