Power shut to Williams Street area due to downed power lines

At approximately 6 p.m. Upton Fire and Police responded to William Street for downed power lines as a result of a fallen tree. A local resident reports a power line was burning.

Upton Police announced William Street was closed between Route 140 and the Grafton town line.

National Grid is currently on scene and has cut the power to the area while repairs are made. National Grid anticipates power to be restored by 9 p.m.

Update…updated time from National Grid for power restoration is 11 p.m., there is a crew working
