Baypath Humane Society Offers Help for Cats and Kittens

March 18, 2015 — (Hopkinton, MA) – Kitten season is upon us, and Baypath Humane Society is working to help cats and kittens in the area. In 2014, Baypath found loving homes for hundreds of cat and kittens. This year, we aim to help even more animals in need, and are asking for the community’s help.

Baypath can help in a number of ways:

Help for your mother cat and kittens

If you have kittens you are unable to care for, you can surrender them to Baypath Humane Society. They will find them loving homes, and spay your mother cat for free so you can keep her and avoid having future litters.

Help for stray or abandoned cats and kittens

Rescue stray and abandoned kittens and find them loving homes. Kittens who are socialized early have a better chance at successful adoption. If you find stray or orphaned kittens in the area, Baypath can help pick them up, get them any necessary medical care, and provide them with loving care and socialization with one of our foster families. Once the kittens are old enough to be adopted, Baypath Humane Society will find them forever homes.

Provide free spay/neuter for stray cats. Baypath humanely traps and spays/neuters stray cats in the area for free. If the cats are friendly, we can often find them homes as well.

“While cats and kittens have lived outside for years, danger exists from predators like coyotes and fisher cats, which are common in our area,” said Elizabeth Jefferis, Executive Director of Baypath Humane Society. “We hope that people in our community will call us so we can get vulnerable cats and kittens to safety.”

If you see stray cats or kittens in the area or have a pregnant cat or mother cat in need, please contact Baypath Humane Society at 508-435-6938 or tnr@baypathhumane.org today.
