Upton to receive $47,897 of a $30 million winter recovery assistance program (WRAP) recently released by Gov. Charlie Baker to assist with road damage.
Representative David Muradian made the announcement yesterday on Facebook stating that eligible activities include: patching potholes, cracking and other surface defects, including paving projects as well as repair and or replacement of signage, guardrail, storm grates, or road stripping or painting.
The $47,897 was calculated based on a road mileage, population and employment formula, said Muradian. According to MassDOT the WRAP allocation is separate from any Chapter 90 funds and all repairs eligible for WRAP funds need to be completed by June 30, 2015.
