Nipmuc High School one of nine schools to receive new automated defibrillators

nipmuchighschoolNipmuc Regional High School is one of nine area schools to receive a new automated external defibrillator thanks to the Michael T. Ellsessar Memorial Fund.

The fund was founded by John and Luann Ellsessar in memory of their 16-year-old son Michael who suddenly passed away on November 15, 2010. Michael went into cardiac arrest after being hit in the chest during an Oxford football game played at Quaboag High School in Warren, Mass.

Michael’s parents will present the defibrillators to the schools during a special ceremony at Sutton High School on May 8. Schools receiving defibrillators include; Blackstone-Millville Regional High School, Douglas High School, Hopedale High School, Millbury High School, Nipmuc Regional High School, Northbridge High School, Oxford High School, Sutton Memorial High School and Whitinsville Christian School.
