Nipmuc After Prom in need of funding and volunteers ~ help keep Nipmuc students safe

promThe next scheduled meeting for the Nipmuc After Prom Party is Tuesday, April 28, 2014, at 6:30 pm in the Gathering Room at Nipmuc. Parents are encouraged to attend to help with the final stage of planning the overnight event, which will be following the Prom on Friday, May 15th. We are in need of an additional 10 to 15 parent volunteers to help as chaperones throughout the night. We are also looking for someone to help with decorating the entrance of the school. This is the first thing the students see as they return to the school after attending the prom.

Parent and local support is vital to the success of the After Prom Party. Thank you to the parents and local businesses who have made donations to help defray the cost of the APP; your generosity is truly appreciated. However, we have not yet met our goal to fully fund the After Prom Party. With both corporate and parent donations less than last year, we have a $3,000 deficit in our available funds. If you wish to donate, a check may be mailed to Nipmuc Regional High School, After Prom Party, 90 Pleasant Street, Upton, MA 01568. If you would like to donate food and beverages or are interested in joining the food committee, please contact Tina Scott at scott.gordon@comcast.net. To assist with decorating, please contact Deb Neri at debneri4@gmail.com. To chaperone during the event, please contact Robyn Sharp at rtjsharp@gmail.com. To learn more about the After Prom Party, please contact Tanna Jango nipmucapp@gmail.com.

Nipmuc High After Prom is a great way the community keeps our high school students safe. After a night of dinner and dancing at the Aquarium students will return to the high school where they will be locked in to the school for the night. The After Prom features all types of fun activities; it’s a great time for the kids.
