submitted by the Upton Bloomer GirlsThe Bloomer Girls wish to offer their heartfelt “Thanks” to the wonderful support received from the Community for Saturday’s Yard Sale on Prospect Street. Many residents contributed items for the sale, many more showed up to shop and, after a very long day, others came to help with the clean up. A special thank you goes out to Upton Self Storage for providing storage for items both before and after the yard sale. The event was absolutely successful and the Bloomer Girls were able to begin replenishment of funds depleted after a challenging 2014.
Throughout the year, the organization provides assistance in a variety of areas. Activities include gifts to overseas servicemen, scholarships to college-bound seniors, and gift cards and groceries for families during the Holidays and throughout the year.
