By example the Village Idiot from Mendon demonstrated the need for integrity with a stunning example in his most recent email bombs. The locals listened to the Village Idiot and turned down the best opportunity they will have in the next several years to save some serious money. Fear not, Upton also has its community Cheap Skate leading us down a path of disaster.
There are several hundreds of jobs right here in Massachusetts going unfilled because the skills needed are not available. That is because of dull minded non-thinking people who wanted to follow the guidance of the Village Idiot and local Cheap Skate.
We all got lucky a while ago when a regional Superintended of Schools resigned. We spent big bucks and a year’s time to organize and educate a search team to find a new superintendent of schools. The special committee searched for a person to put our regional school system on a positive track that would meet today’s demands from industry and commerce. We searched, we screened, we vetted and we hired that Superintendent at considerable expense. Mission one; to define a plan to bring our kids back into a real world with contemporary skills that will help them actually be employable in today’s world. People actually in the know report Superintendent has done an excellent job. He has now presented that plan to you.
But, the Village Idiot with a support staff of none, who only twice, in as many years, has attended an actual school related meeting now has the magical knowledge and wisdom to ignore the educated advice we paid so dearly for so he can tell you the truth that he has invented from baseless conclusions that you would like to believe because it will keep the tax rate down. That pleases the Village Idiot and maybe you as well. His views are now further endorsed by a declaration of deceit, doom and disaster from our own Upton Cheapskate, also never scene at a School Committee or Multi-board Meeting and who definitely does not get it.
I guess they accept that the Commonwealth has a mandate that districts like Mendon/Upton must operate a school system. Yes! Yet another substantially Unfunded Mandate from the State. In a great concession from these visionary all seer’s such a facility should be limited to a minimum security prison to keep the tax rate down. This will prepare the kids for what they should expect when they graduate! Warehouse for effect, Yes! Educate, No!
So when these kids have no skills, can’t find worthwhile work, have nothing to do, start a family and come running back home to roost, with you, rent free, till they find that worthwhile position, that will never happen, because they don’t have any money, because they didn’t get a good education and can’t find a worthwhile job…… and nickel after nickel you go broke supporting your prior failure to invest in tomorrow.
Don’t forget to thank the Village Idiot and Local Cheapskate for getting you into this mess because you wanted to believe the garbage they wanted to sell to you!
Yes! I am a long past retirement, still working to make ends meet, never had a vacation, because I never got a good education. Nobody to blame but me! I do know a zero when I see one, though!
I will ask you to vote to educate these kids properly for today’s industrial and commercial needs and continue closing down the warehouse we have. Save your money the easy way!
Then you too can enjoy your free time and retirement in peace.
