I am glad Upton voters strongly supported the override request. This vote illustrates that Upton voters are concerned about the quality of all the services that their local government delivers. Upton’s voters know that their voice matters, their participation matters, their voting matters. Upton voters no longer want to sit on the side lines quietly. Upton voters demonstrated that they want a say in how the school bus is driven. Upton voters have given the district’s school committee the opportunity to take the action that the school committee feels is appropriate for the regional school district.
Ken Picard – Upton
Very disappointed. These bloated budgets have to come to an end. Although I will support an override if public workers are willing to pay 50-80% of their medical insurance like private sector workers do.
