Unlaunch’d Voices: An Evening With Walt Whitman

library

Upton Town Library and the Upton Cultural Council are proud to sponsor an intimate one-man theater show that brings the poetry of Walt Whitman to life.

Performed by Actor / Teacher Stephen Collins, the show explores Walt Whitman’s life and writings from his vibrant youth through his experiences during the civil war to the evening of his seventieth birthday.

Join us for this free cultural experience on Tuesday, May 26, at 7 pm in the Upton Town Hall.

Actor Stephen Collins says, “we hope to leave you with a greater insight not just into the great man or the great poet, but with an appreciation of Walt Whitman as an eternally free spirit.”

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Upton Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
