Regina Garvey is on a mission to raise $100k to create a legacy for her son Aidan, by having his name associated with a cure for LLS.
On Father’s Day 2009, Regina took Aidan to the ER with what she thought was a chest cold. It wasn’t a cold, it was leukemia. Three weeks into his treatment and already in remission Aiden passed away from the swine flu.
Regina founded TEAM FOR THE LOVE OF AIDAN and has been on a fundraising mission. “Our goal is to raise $100K by June 30th to get a research grant in Aidan’s name through the LLS,” she said. To date the team has raised over $54,000. “Although we have long way to go, we aren’t giving up,” she said.
The Rose Garden is hosting two events for TEAM FOR THE LOVE OF AIDAN on Saturday, May 23 to help Regina reach her goal.
The first event is a pizza party which will be from 5 to 7 pm upstairs $5 kids, $10 adults
The second event is a send off party from 9 p.m. to midnight with live music by David Penza, a 50/50 cash raffle, and prize raffles.
TEAM FOR THE LOVE OF AIDAN welcomes everyone to come out for a great night out and a great cause. If you can’t make but would still like to make a donation you can do so by visiting http://pages.teamintraining.org/vtnt/rnr15/fortheloveofaidan
