The Upton Police Department responded to crash on High Street this morning. Cause? Distracted driving. According to the police the driver looked down to answer their phone. No injuries were reported.

UPTON DAILY 
I walk the streets of Upton every morning before I go to work. It is very dangerous between the distracted drivers and the multitude of drivers that simply refuse to stop for pedestrians in crosswalks. This is especially true for the crosswalks that are on route 140. The drivers simply do not follow the speed limit and I’m lucky if 1 out of 10 cars will stop to let me cross. Can something be done to improve this situation?
