This past Saturday night, Southwick’s Zoo played host to the 10th Annual Benefit EARTH Bash – a fundraiser for their nonprofit arm, EARTH Ltd. The event hit a new level of success by raising around $50,000 and selling out to a crowd of 300 guests. EARTH Ltd.’s mission is to provide education about animal ecology, endangered species and environmental issues as well as conservation efforts both locally and globally.
The money raised will be used to create housing for Southwick’s Zoo and EARTH Ltd. interns and donations will be made to the International Rhino Foundation, Bay Islands Conservation Association.
Former New England Patriot Matt Light came out to support EARTH’s initiatives and offer his hand on the microphone during the live auction to get the crowd pumped up. Be on the lookout for next year’s EARTH Bash by checking out www.EARTHltd.org.
