Nipmuc Warriors to play at Nipmuc High School on September 19, 2015
For the first time in Nipmuc High School history, the varsity football team will play its home games at the Nipmuc High School Field. The first home game will be Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2pm. A ceremony will take place prior to the game and we anticipate a large crowd to witness and watch this first game. The pregame ceremony and halftime festivities, along with raffles, prizes, food and fun are just some of the highlights of this historic day.
In discussing the game, senior captain and senior class president Chris Bechara stated, “This will be one of the most exciting years for Nipmuc Football. Bringing the (football) games to Nipmuc will bring the school and community together.”
Head Football Coach Shawn Hill stated, “It’s exciting to play at home and be able to play at the high school. It will be exciting to have the band and community present for the games.”
Nipmuc’s Athletic Director Christopher Schmidt commented, “Having football at the high school will be a way to bring excitement to the Warrior community. The many donations we have
received highlighted by the new PA system and new scoreboard will benefit the entire athletic community at Nipmuc.”
The Nipmuc HS athletic department wishes to extend its gratitude to the many volunteers and donors who made this possible.
