mendon

On May 15th 2017 Mendon will be celebrating its 350th anniversary. The Mendon 350th Committee and the Mendham Brothers of the Brush have come together to plan and organize the celebration. The committees are planning a year’s worth of activities starting in the Fall of 2016 and ending in the Fall of 2017 with a parade and fireworks. Other proposed events include a Ham and Bean Supper, Formal Dinner/Dance, St. Patty’s Day celebration, Block Party, Sports Tournaments, Antique Fireman’s Muster, Horribles Parade, and a birthday celebration (with cake!) on May 15th 2017.

On Oct. 10th, the Mendon 350th Anniversary Committee along with the Mendham Brothers of the Brush will be selling merchandise and raffle tickets at the Mendon Lions Country Fair. They will be located at Row #2, Spot #7.

The following items will be available: T-Shirts ($15), Sweatshirts ($25), and Hats ($15). All proceeds will benefit the 350th celebrations. In addition, the Brothers of the Brush are conducting a raffle with a grand prize of $500! Tickets are available from any member of the 350th Committee or Brothers and will be sold at the Fair. 1st prize is $500, 2nd is $250, 3rd is $150, and 4th & 5th are $50 each.

A sign-up list will be available for anyone wishing to assist in the celebrations. We will need many volunteers to help organize the numerous events and activities.
