United Parish Annual Fall Yard Sale on Upton Heritage Day, Saturday, October 3rd, 2015.
Wayne Phipps will be coordinating church efforts.
First, start collecting your gently used but no longer needed items that you would like to donate. We are able to take items now so feel free to call Wayne to arrange for drop off. (Please no upholstered furniture, computer monitors, hard drives, other electronics or appliances – they cost money to dispose of if not sold). All items should be in good repair with no broken or missing parts. Books donations can be dropped off in the Got Books/Big Hearted Books bin in the church parking lot.
Second, shifts to help with sorting, pricing and selling will be scheduled for the week prior to and the day of the yard sale. Grill help is needed to cook and serve hamburgers, hotdogs and sausages. Sign-up sheets will be coming out soon so please consider how you can help. For more information contact Wayne at 508-473-8442. Third, be sure to stop by the day of the sale to shop for a bargain, find a treasure and enjoy a bite to eat at the grill.
The Faith Development Committee (contact Lisa Henry at 508-439-3637) will also be holding their Used Children’s Clothing and Toy sale to benefit the Sunday School and Youth Programs of the church. The United Parish Yard Sale is held in conjunction with other community events as part of Heritage Homecoming Day. Be sure to check out the Friends of the Library Book Sale, Crafters on the Common and the Town Hall and Fire Station Open House being held on the same day.
