Taylor Nasuti Earns Girl Scout Silver Award

taylorTaylor Nasuti recently earned the Girl Scout Silver Award, the second highest award in Girl Scouts for her work on teen depression.

The path to the Silver Award takes self-motivation, planning, perseverance, dedication and a belief in one’s self. In order to achieve the award a Girl Scout must choice an issue they care about beyond the Girls Scout community and develop a project based on the issue.

Taylor finished her project by creating and distributing a brochure on teen depression for local middle school students. Two years ago Taylor earned the Bronze award for a coat drive for homeless shelters. Her goal over the next two years  is to work on and achieve the Girl Scout Gold Award, which is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn.

The Silver Award Ceremony will be held in June at Mechanics Hall in Worcester where Taylor will have the opportunity to showcase her project.

Taylor is an 8th grader from Upton.
