Items needed: Toiletries and Personal Items
Dates Being Collected: Monday 3/25 through Thursday 3/28
Locations Accepting Donations: Miscoe Hill School, Upton Library, Nipmuc High School and St. Gabriels Church.
Patrick Carey, a sophomore at Nipmuc Regional High School, has begun the second annual Soap for Hope drive. The drive was started last year when Patrick became aware of an increasing demand for personal items needed at our local food pantries. More and more families are in need and most food pantries have very limited supplies of these items.
All donated toiletries and personal items will be given to local food pantries serving the Mendon and Upton Area, these pantries include; Daily Bread in Milford, the United Parish food pantry and the Saint Gabriel’s food pantry. Any help you can offer will be appreciated. At each drop off location Soap for Hope bracelets are available as a thank you for those who make a donation.
Patrick was awarded the Prudential Spirit of Community Award for his first annual Soap for Hope drive which provided nearly $2,000 worth of donations to support our community.
