Evolution of New York City In Pictures – Definitely not Upton but Cool

madison squareIf you love old photographs, you will thoroughly enjoy the  ‘FINE Print NYC Blog.’ It’s a blog filled with images of NYC from 1490 to 1965.

The images show a brilliantly clear pictorial of the evolution of NYC.  Included are images from many moments in time such as the construction of the Statue of Liberty in France, the first elevated track, the first electric cab, construction of the Brooklyn Bridge, the Great White Hurricane, a missile at Grand Central, there are simply too many to list.

Fair warning, time will slip by while you scroll through the photographs.

Selecting the link below will bring you to part one of the blog. Scrolling to the bottom of the blog page will give you the option to view images by time periods.
