The Upton Men’s Club donated $3,150 to the Upton Fire Department to purchase 21 LED Flashlights.
Chief Araaron Goodale said “we have a good relationship with the Upton Men’s Club, we had a need and in conversation with them they were looking to do something for us. We did a presentation, expressed what our problem was and they were gracious enough to help us out.”
The new flashlights are significantly lighter in weight and much brighter, allowing the fire fighters to move easier and see better when battling a fire. The older flashlights had fallen in to disrepair and their supply was dwindling down.
The 21 LED flashlights remain on the trucks and are always ready to go, their charge will last longer and they will be more reliable.
This is just another example of the great things the Upton Men’s Club does for our community.
