Cheer on the Mendon “K Girls” – Franklin 5k – May 4

The Mendon ‘K Girls” were making Boston Marathon history running as the first mother daughter team to run. Kris and Kayla were just steps away from the finish line as the bombs went off. They are okay and will be running in the Franklin 5k on Saturday May 4, information below. The Franklin 5k was originally called  “The Run for Bob” in honor of Kris’ late husband and Kayla’s dad, Bob Biagiotti.

THE FRANKLIN 5K

Join us at The Franklin 5K on May 4th as we celebrate Kris & Kayla Biagiotti’s (The K Girls) accomplishment of becoming the 1st mother/daughter team to finish the Boston Marathon.

Only 50 yds from the finish line when a bomb exploded, they were forced to shield themselves from flying shrapnel.  Read more here.

Give Kris & Kayla the celebration they deserve as they cross Franklin’s finish line.  Everyone is invited to come cheer on The K Girls!  This event was started to honor Bob Biagiotti, Kris’ late husband & Kayla’s dad. Bob believed that no child should have to sit on the sidelines.  Formerly called Run for Bob, The Franklin 5K has raised $75k to benefit children with special needs.
