Sadly the Upton VFW has ceased to do any particular program on Veteran’s Day in recent years.The Upton Veterans do plan on supporting Nipmuc Regional High School students Anna Young and Taylor Russell who will be hosting a Military Run on November 16 to support deployed troops. The Upton Veterans will be presenting the Colors at the event and Commander Joseph McMahon will sing the National Anthem.
The Military Run will start at 10:00 a.m. at Nipmuc Regional High School, 90 Pleasant Street Upton, MA 01568. There will be water stations along the course and ten awards.
Registration: $ 20 for pre-registration or $25 the day of race. Students with a local high school ID can preregister for $17 or $22 the day of the race. Here is a link with the registration form. There will be water stations along the course and ten awards.
