Arrests Made in Upton House Break

On Friday, November 8th, the Upton Police Department arrested three suspects in connection with a house break investigation in the Town of Upton. The following suspects were arrested:

Kenneth A Moccia, 37 years of age, of 276 School Street, Barre and Jamil A Rivera, 32 years of age, of 26 Birch Street, Gardner for the following offenses:

1. Breaking and entering into a dwelling house to commit a felony
2. Larceny over $250
3. Destruction of property over $250
4. Larceny of a firearm
5. Carrying a firearm without a license
6. Break into a depository (Safe)
7. Firearms violation with prior violent crimes

Amanda Favreau, 29 years of age, of 26 Birch Street, Gardner for the following offense:

1. Receiving Stolen Property over $250

The crime was reported to the Upton Police Department on Wednesday, November 6th by a South Street resident who reported a large amount of jewelry, cash, and a firearm were taken from her home. As a result of the investigation jewelry and an amount of cash were recovered in the cities of Fitchburg, Worcester and Gardner. Detectives from Worcester, Gardner, Fitchburg and Barre Police Departments assisted officers from the Upton Police Department during the investigation.
