A section 35 warrant of apprehension was issued from Uxbridge for a Upton man who has now fled on foot.
A section 35 warrant is when a party petitions the court to have person evaluated for rehab. In this case the petition was made by a parent who requested the court issue the warrant for substance abuse.
The son did not want to return to rehab and took off on foot with a baseball bat and told his father he would use it on anyone who tried to stop him.
Police Chief Bradley said the man is not a danger to the public. The APB was issued to alert other departments of the situation.
