Mendon Street Closed – MVA takes down utility wires – Power outage reported

The Upton Police Department has reported there are utility wires down in the vicinity of #270 Mendon Street.  A Motor Vehicle hit a utility pole, air bags were deployed, and wires are down. National Grid has been called. Mendon Street will be closed between Chestnut Street and the Mendon town line. The Upton Police Department is asking you avoid the area. According the National Grid outage map, approximately 78 residents are without power.
