Driver Cited for Vehicle Homicide in Ambulance Crash

uptondaily1pngLisa Zemack of Framingham will be cited for motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation and operating to endanger according to the Worcester District Attorney’s office. Milford police say Zemack is responsible for the crash which resulted in the death of Upton resident Karen Scott.

Police say Zemack failed to stop at a stop sign on Green Street in Milford and struck the rear end of an ambulance traveling north on Route 140. The ambulance was transporting Karen Scott. The impact caused the ambulance to roll over. Scott was transported from the scene of the accident by another ambulance to Milford Regional Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. Both paramedics were treated for non life threatening injuries. Officials say Zemack was also taken to the hospital for injuries.
