Goss Pond Winter Hike scheduled for Sunday January 26

Goss Pond is a one of Upton’s hidden treasures.  The small pond near the West River is fringed by a floating bog mat which is most easily accessed in winter.  On the hike you will see black spruce and perhaps other bog plants poking through the snow and take an optional hike to the West River.  Hikers should plan on meeting on Green Lane (parking is on the street) at 1 p.m..  For questions or cancellation notices send an email to uptonopenspaceevents@charter.net.
