Nipmuc Regional High School Holds STEM Career and College Fair Today

stemNipmuc Regional High School Principal is pleased with how well the newly developed STEM Scholars Program is growing.  The program, which was implemented this year, expands the offerings available to students in science, technology, engineering, and math fields. Students in the STEM Scholars Program are experiencing job shadowing and internships, participating  in workplace readiness training, and are making connections with colleges and universities. “These real world, authentic learning experiences complement the work students complete in our classrooms,” said Nipmuc Regional High School Principal John Clements.

As part of the STEM Scholars program and the districts participation in WPI’s “STEM for District Leaders” program, Nipmuc is hosting a STEM Career and College Fair today at Nipmuc Regional High School for all students. “At the fair we will welcome more than 30 representatives from STEM professions, universities, community groups, and organizations. These professionals and community members will meet with our students, answer their questions, and excite them about the potential of STEM. We are excited to watch the STEM Scholars Program grow as we build upon the achievement in our classrooms and expand the programming at our school.” said Clements.
