A moonlight walk…..
Snow Moon Walk at Stefans Farm
Saturday, February 15th, 6PM
Join the Upton Open Space Committee for a nighttime stroll in the moonlight.
Usually the heaviest snows fall in February, hunting becomes very difficult, and hence, to some Native American tribes, this was the Hunger Moon.
The moon will be just short of full and if snow is on the ground it will reflect the lunar glow providing plenty of light to walk by.
We will walk uphill to a point where the moon rise is well visible and bask in the moon’s winter illumination.
Meet in the parking area near the power lines on Mechanic Street, Upton. Bring a flashlight and dress for the weather. Waterproof footwear is highly recommended.Inclement weather or overcast conditions cancel. For more info e-mail uptonopenspaceevents@charter.net
