5th and 6th grade social at Miscoe Hill – THE NIGHT OF NEON

neonNipmuc’s Searching for Sunshine club is throwing The Night of Neon, a bash for 5th and 6th graders at Miscoe Hill on Friday March 21.

The event is sure to be a great night out for the kids consisting of neon fun, movies, dancing, games, contests, and food for sale.

Searching for Sunshine is a club at Nipmuc High School founded by Deanna Bagley. The Club consists of 35  students who are raising funds and volunteering to spread sunshine. Dee founded the club after she volunteered in Ghana Africa and realized how many places in the world need help.

All monies raised by Searching for Sunshine will be donated to various organization in need, including Happy Kids School and Orphanage in Ghana Africa where Deanna volunteered over the summer.

Searching for Sunshine is doing great community work which includes serving dinners at the New England Center for Homeless Veterans in Boston, volunteering for  the Community Harvest Project in Grafton, and volunteering for projects at Clough.  The group has also focused on anti-bullying and attended a conference in Worcester on the topic. Some of their upcoming events include attending a leadership conference in Boston and hosting a Senior Citizen Prom for the residents of Atria Draper Place Assisted Living in Hopedale.
