The Upton Police Department recently announced the 2014 Life Saving Click It Or Ticket Mobilization is in full swing. Officers will be out in force looking for safety belt violators through June 1, 2014.
According to the Center for Disease Control motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death amount those age 5-34 in the U.S. More than 2.3 Million adult drivers and passengers were treated in the emergency department as a result of being injured in a car crash in 2009. The highest crash-related injury rates belong to young adults ages 18-24. Despite these facts millions of adults do not wear the seat belts on every trip.
