Upton and Mendon added to local towns reporting suspicious person approaching children

Upton and Mendon Police Departments reported Saturday May 2 incidents involving a middle aged white man in a grey sedan suspiciously approaching young children. Upton Police said, "An 11 year old girl was approached and asked for directions by a grey sedan being operated by a middle aged white male. The incident took place on Elm Street, however reports of a suspicious vehicle were also received on Florence Circle and River Bend Road that had a similar description. House Fire on Crockett Road

Upton Police Department are reporting that there is a house on fire on Crockett Road. The road will be closed while fire fighting operations are going on. Milford Fire, Hopkinton Fire, and Hopedale Fire are assisting at the scene. According to the Upton Police all occupants exited the home safely. Jaws of Life Needed in Two Car Crash on Route 140 Upton

Witness statements say folder was slid or tossed across the table regarding Mendon man’s allegation of assault

The Upton Police Department and the Worcester District Attorney will not pursue charges of assault against Mendon Upton Superintendent Dr. Maruszczak and Upton Selectman Flemming. The Worcester District Attorney’s office wrote in a Memorandum that witness statements reviewed, including the statement provided by Mike Watson, reveal no viable basis for criminal charges. Driver takes out air conditioning units and crashes into building

Car crashed into abandoned building next to the Upton Library - photo by Upton Police Overnight, according to the Upton police, a car went off the road and drove across the lawn of the Upton Library striking two air conditioning units. The car then crashed into the abandoned building next to the library. Police report occupants fled the scene.
