Dept. of Public Works Department Specialist – Part-Time

The Town of Upton seeks to fill the part-time position (fill in for vacations as needed) of Department of Public Works Department Specialist. This position reports to the DPW Director and is responsible for providing clerical support to the Director. Work includes performing clerical and recordkeeping duties including accounting, billing payroll and data entry. Receive visitors, answer inquiries, retrieve and sort mail. Maintain records and files, compile information, prepare letters and reports for review and approval.

The minimum qualifications are an Associate’s Degree, preferably in secretarial coursework and 6 – 18 months related experience in office administration or any equivalent combination. Strong computer skills are a must. Work Schedule: will be determined by the needs of the Department. Starting Salary: $17.35-$19.96/hour DOE.

  1. One major advantage of a non-recourse agreement is
    that once you have sold the accounts receivable, it is no longer your responsibility.
    In these times, small businesses must focus on the customer, costs and cash flow.
