Saturday June 21

Upton Fireworks Festivals –  4 to 10 p.m. at Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational High School, 65 Pleasant Street. Festivities include an inflatable fun park, live entertainment, and vendors will be selling food before the fireworks. Fireworks at Dusk –  Atlas Pyrovision will return to put on another fantastic fireworks display

Congressman Jim McGovern will be holding office hours for residents of Grafton, Upton, Northbridge, and Millbury on Saturday June 21 from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the Valley Cafe located at 98 A Church Street in Whitinsville.At office hours, constituents will have  the opportunity to discuss issues with  Rep. McGovern.

Trail Walk at Blackstone Gorge – Hike of the Blackstone Gorge led by Tom Bik. This walk will be on Saturday June 21st at 10 a.m. with a Rain date on Sunday, June 22nd at 1:30 p.m.  Meet at end of County Street, off Route 122, Main street in Blackstone. There is a parking lot at the end of County Street, next to the Rolling Dam. This is a great way to experience the Gorge up close with Tom, who is a founding Board member of Metacomet.

Old Fashioned Strawberry Fair – A Community Event – Village Congregational Church Front Lawn – All are welcomed to join as a community for a mid-day refreshment strawberry shortcake, and iced tea. Bring your Family, Friends, and Neighbors! 11:00 a.m. 5 Church Street Whitinsville.

Sunday June 22

Hidden History Hike –  Hike a portion of the old road to Hopkinton Spring. Our destination is the Old North Cemetery, aka Bradish Cemetery, where there are graves for early settlers of North Upton, including several soldiers of the Revolution. You will also learn the history of nearby Leclaire Square before returning. Along the trail, we will note hybrid oaks and an interesting geological feature. The hike will take placed on Sunday June 22 (Registration 12:25; Hike at 1:00 pm)
