Overview: A weak disturbance will move across parts of the region through late Friday, providing a threat of showers and storms for interior sections of the northeast. The greatest chance of showers and storms will occur during the afternoon and evening hours.
An area of low pressure over the southeast will develop and move north along a frontal boundary off the east coast this weekend. Clouds and rain will move into parts region on Saturday and linger into early next week. There still remains some uncertainty as to how much rain will fall, as the area remains on the edge for receiving heavy rain. If you have plans for going to the beach this weekend, it will most likely be a washout for southern New England beaches. Stay tuned for more updates.
