The Mendon Upton Regional School District was recently ranked #16 on Nerdwallet’s Finance list of the “best school districts for your buck in Massachusetts.”
Nerdwallet determined the best school districts in Massachusetts by looking at college readiness, class size, and standardized test score (SATs and MCAS).
The list was compiled to help families find communities which were “hidden gems”, using school quality and cost-of-living measures.
Westford was ranked #1, Hopkinton #5, and Westborough #27.

Holliston isn’t a neighboring town. MURSD made the list higher than Westborough. Other neighboring towns like Grafton, Northbridge, Milford, Bellingham, Blackstone, Millville, and Uxbridge I don’t think made the list at all. So personally I don’t understand why it would be unfortunate that MURSD made the list. There is always someone looking to say our schools stink. Guess what, they obviously don’t.
Unfortunately 2 of our neighboring towns – Hopkinton & Holliston – scored in the top 5 of the list.
