Upton looks to allow self serve gas stations at Special Town Meeting tonight

uptonTonight at 7 p.m. at Nipmuc Regional High School located at 90 Pleasant Street Upton will hold a special town meeting. There are thirteen articles on the Warrant.

Highlights of the articles are..

  • To purchase an unmarked administrative vehicle for the Police Department to replace a 2007 Dodge Charger
  • To allow self-service gas stations in Upton
  • Funding to preserve the foundation of a historic District 6 School House on North Street where only a foundation remains will not be voted on. The Land Stewardship Committee was looking for the town to approve Community Preservation Funds, however the request for the funding was rejected by the Community Preservation Committee.
