“What if Ebeneezer Scrooge lived in New Mexico today?” This New Mexican adaptation of Dickens’ Christmas Carol puts Scrooge in present day New Mexico where he is visited by spirits from Native American folklore. They send him on a journey back to his boyhood home in Mexico where he relives the pleasure and the pain of his simple upbringing and also faces his choices as a young man before coming to the United States. An entertaining cultural twist.
